JULY CONTEST: Albert needs a home!
-
Hi all, Have been wanting to join in with these monthly contests for a while. Finally managed to get organised this month. Love seeing everyone's illustrations and watching the feedback videos. Here's my home for Albert the Platypus and his family.
-
@AdeleA That looks super fun for a platypus. Great job!
-
Hi @Sara-Nilsson I just noticed The house is a shape of giant fox... wow so clever!
-
-
@neschof aw thanks thatβs so nice to say! To be honest, this is not at all what I had in mind when I started!!
-
Would love more time to add more, but this is what I had time for for the contest. It was fun. Good luck, everyone. Great job on all the entries.
-
Hey folks, here's my entry for Alberts family home. This was a mission to finish in time, but I really enjoyed it.
Loved so many of the Alert designs, can wait to see all the home concepts!
-
@Iain-Davidson This is great! Nice job.
-
@Iain-Davidson Wonderful!
-
Phew! I got something done, I wasn't sure if I would be able to make time for this month's prompt. It is finished, not perfect. I love seeing off the different home that people have come up.

@mag this is so beautiful

I squeezed in another hee hee
since we all agreed that my Albert looked a little like an old man I thought heβd do well in home with a little old lady who also has a passion for art. -
So impressed with how creative you all have been with this one! The prompt really stumped me for so long but I finally pulled something together.
My concept is that Albert snuck out of his window to do some sneaky well-intentioned redecorating buuut...it's not going so well.
-
@ellenseal14 I had the exact same feelings for this one! Glad you knocked one in!
-
How did the end of July come round so fast?! I kinda rushed this. Hope that's not too obvious. I've had my idea for a while, but didnt start it till this morning!
-
@Megan-van-der-Berg The pig in the window is so cute. I love the collage style in your design for this one. It's really fun. Have you ever seen the work of illustrator Samantha Cotterill? She make these cardboard sets which she photographs for kids books - really cool little environments.
-
@Iain-Davidson This came out great! Can see you spent a lot of time on it. Love the different ways you've incorporated the various sea vessel elements. The periscope letterbox is really clever.
-
@Robert-Maine Thanks Robert Appreciate the support. I like the ink and watercolour style of your piece this month. I've never gotten the hang of using inks, it's something I'd like to practice more.
