Went back to doing some more birds lately, in celebration of my 2022 Birds of a Feather calendar. I did these on my art stream, and I think they turned out nicely. I think I may keep doing these for a bit. I really do love the "zen" nature of just letting go and studying a photo reference and having the world fall away, and I don't have to think about these so hard my brain hurt. They don't tell a story at all, but they're still fun to do!

@Braden-Hallett WHY ARE THOSE KIDS NOT WEARING HELMETS !? THEY COULD GET HURT OR WORSE! (Ignores fact that they robbed a T-rex of her baby and are being chased through the street)
I really did have that thought. Which is funny because I grew up never wearing a helmet. And they ARE being chased by a dinosaur.

@chrisaakins aw man EVERY time I sat down to work on this I had the same thought! THESE KIDS SHOULD BE WEARING HELMETS! I still feel guilty about it

@Braden-Hallett nah, just make them Dutch - no one uses or needs helmets there.

@Braden-Hallett Certain circumstances warrant the absence of safety gear, such as a dire emergency when you must hurry and have no time for helmets. I feel that this circumstance qualifies.

I've been on vacation a while so not been able to do any new work yet but I ordered some print samples to test paper stocks for when I eventually manage to get an online shop live. It was exciting to see them in real life. (Brexit isn't making postage options easy!).
