This one is super busy with semi realistic children. There is a long shelf loaded with books behind the children and their imaginations are running wild all over the place.

This one is a little less busy and more stylized.
Also, FYI, I always thought 1 point perspective was easy until I tried to draw power poles from above. ðŸĪŠ Any tips with that would be much appreciated. 🙂
The kids down bellow will be a little more recognizable as children instead of cylinders.

Thank you ahead of time for your input.
      🙂

so i did take a quick look at the website of kidlit and i think i would go with the first one.
Maybe it's possible to make it less busy if you think its tooo busy "but i think it fits best for the describtion i read.

"Welcome to KidLit411! Are you writing a children's book? You've come to the right place. One website, with all of your favorite sources in one place."

I don't get the meaning of the second one? Do you have to be an active member to understand why it would be birds and powe poles?
But i really appreciate your effort to sketch this in 1 point perspective from above XD

The rhythm in A is wonderful...I also like how you've played with the type.

As for B, it has a unique perspective, looking downwards at the telephone lines. But over the years, I remember a lot of telephone lines being used for the banner. I used to think it was a requirement (Bird on the Wire: nod to Leonard Cohen) to show a flock of birds on telephone wires.

So my vote is for A.

Thanx for that! I thought it would be a cinch, but not so much LOL!
You don't have to be a member. Their original "look" used birds on a wire and they give you the option to go with that theme or to illustrate something that you think represents Kidlit411.

              @RachelArmington Thank you!
I was trying to go with a VERY different perspective than what they normally get for submissions, which is the straight on front view point. That's why I tried the birds eye view. Literally, lol.

Thanks for voting! I'm going with A. I am going to work out the phone pole one point perspective puzzle though, because that should have been easier to draw, than it was.
                =)x

i see, but maybe the wire birds idea just don't work for me. Their actual banner looks kind of sweet, but the idea itself, dont get it.

Looking forward to see your progress!

Just saying, KidLit411 is an amazing resource. You don't need to be a member or pay for anything, and it's a good way to find critique partners (illustrators and/or writers). You can follow them on Facebook and Twitter.
