That feeling when you are enjoying a lovely breakfast and you realize that you never created an April thread for the Virtual Studio. YIKES!

Since we have been posting April in this March thread, I edited the name and we should just continue as if that was what I fully intended to do in the first place. Hee hee.

@burvantill Currently I use Clip Studio Paint. It's the BOMB! When I found it I was like 'Where have you been all my life?' and sometimes Procreate for quick sketching.

I feel like I've used them all at some point in my life - Memory lane:
            Adobe Elements
            Flash MX
            Adobe Photoshop
            Illustrator
Maya - for 3D rigging and animation
            After Effects
            Krita

Let's not forget all my fine art training:
            Oils
            Acrylic
Encaustic (Oils mixed with hot wax)
            Watercolor
            Etching
            Inking
            Pastels

TMI I know. I'm procrastinating from working on Eps 3 of my comic. Ugh!

@burvantill I'm glad you just forgot. I was wondering when we should start worrying if something had happened to you. Glad it was just a memory lapse, something I am way too familiar with πŸ™‚

I printed off one of my paintings onto card stock today and am really happy with it. It's nice to know my art can have some use even if it's just to send notes to friends.

I guess I'm working my way out of my slump because I'm reworking my business logo. Not sure about the font yet, and I think I'll make this more illustrative and less vector, but I'm pleased with the direction I'm going!

Few sketches I did trying out a toned paper sketchbook, which is a somewhat new departure for me, so we'll see how it goes.

Okay after much procrastination I did get 'something' done. Most likely need to look at it with new eyes in the morning but I at least I earned some dinner and a drink.

Majestic, and after a long cold winter in desperate need of some shedding.

So this might not fit the prompt for this month's critique arena challenge, but I'm really happy with how it turned out. Should I still submit it? Kayleen_Sokol_April22.jpg

@kayleenartlover you can submit as many times as you like so I don’t see why not!

@kayleenartlover @Griffin is right about that you can submit as many times as you would like, but the criteria is "A 3/4 view of the design with no background"
It's like sabotaging yourself by submitting something that can't win anyway because you didn't match the criteria.

I like the idea though, maybe now you have a concept, you can take it and make it fit the criteria. Whatever you choose, i like your work, and you finished a piece, thats something πŸ˜ƒ
