Working through the harmony color sketch exercises of the Magic of Color course and trying to use an abridged version of the 10 Step Digital Painting process. Enjoying both, but lots to still figure out and get a feel for! Delightful sketch by Will Terry.

I'm going to do another illo that goes with this image. A reality vs fantasy, because in reality Kiddo and Grace are actually play fighting with broom stick handles while their parents look on proudly. =)x
I had fun drawing this and I know that it has a few flaws, but... THAT FLOOR. I mean, I can't stop looking at it. It's perfect.

This morning my 4 year old made a comment in the car on the way to drop his sister off at school, that a hippopotamus would be a Terrible pet, because he would have to live in our bathtub, and he’d be too big for the bathtub, he’d get stuck, and my son wouldn’t be able to play with him. So I doodled a silly hippo in a bathtub.

I’ve not done any Instagram prompts for ages but I saw this one from #FridayDoodleClub and I’ve had this in my head since then. I just had to get it out of there! The prompt was ‘IMPATIENT FARMING OSTRICH’

@Kristen-Lango This reminds me of the Ladybug picnic song from Sesame Street...or maybe Electric Company. One of those children's shows on PBS. Great party scene! =)x

@burvantill Aw thank you! I just watched that and was instantly put back into my child self - I'm certain I watched that as a kid and it's found it's way into my work, thanks for the throwback I'm so happy it reminds you of that kind of thing, I'll take being compared to PBS shows any day!!
