@Mia-Clarke could be a "Self care day" type of greeting card πŸ™‚ "Enjoy your break!"

@Mia-Clarke a "thinking of you" or "missing you" type card! He looks very contemplative. Love it!

I've been struggling with finding a concept for the Kamari prompt, but then this morning this popped into my head. Don't know I'll submit it, but it feels nice to have had at least one idea connected to the prompt. πŸ™‚

After looking at a bunch of illustrator portfolios yesterday, I realized a coin operated spaceship ride image is essential and made one.

Some frivolous image making today. I am working on a narrative piece on the side, but then I got another rejection and felt too dejected to finish it today, and decided to just do something light and easy instead. Anyone else dealing with rejections? Any tips for how to cope with them (apart from painting ballerina bears)?

I have been busy the last few months finishing my doctorate. I finally have time to art. I am teaching a unit on watercolor and I am rusty. I challenged myself to complete the assignment I gave my students. Here is my interpretation of the prompt, ”Winter.” It is traditional watercolor.

I may edit digitally just for funsies.

@Mia-Clarke I got about four rejections this past month from people I didn’t even remember querying lol, we gotta just keep moving forward and putting ourselves out there. It’ll happen someday when we least expect it. Love the bear ballerina. I always just assume it’s a no so I’m never really that disappointed.πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈ

@Asyas_illos Thank you for sharing, Asya, it means a lot. I think I've been feeling like I'm the only one getting rejected, and it's been getting to me lately. I'll try to adopt your way of assuming it's a no from jump, hopefully that'll make the nos easier when they come in. πŸ™‚

Yes, I’ve been rejected many-many-many times! Twice in November so far, lol.

Maybe if I keep trying I will finally break in, before I die. Lol

Closest piece I have is the playground springy horse.
