Trying my hand at traditional media after working digitally for many years. My hands are still too wobbly unless its a tablet stylus. Also, old school storyboard post it fix!

I know I'm going against rules of Inktober...but I wanted to redo that last piece. I felt I was rushing needlessly and made the piece too muddy overall. So here is entry number 3.5.

I didn't get much time to do mine yesterday so it was a quick one but I spent a bit more time on mine today and made a badass shark.

Hi. I'm going through a rough breakup with my girlfriend of 2 and 1/2 years. The way I see it there's 2 things I can do: 1) cry myself to sleep, 2) draw like crazy.

Just wanted to say that, because I feel Inktober is really helping me overcome this, so I want to thank Mr. Parker for making this.

I work a lot with watercolor and I... just.. couldn't... help myself on this one. I promise the next drawing is going to be 100% ink.

@Callaxes At the beginning of the year I went through a break up with my partner of 10 years and we had at the time, a 3 year old girl. She's now 4. Believe me, it really, really does get easier. It looks like it doesn't now to you, but it does. Put your negative energy into a positive one and keep creating.

@Callaxes They are better. My daughter and I have an amazing relationship and the tension that was on the relationship isn't there anymore. Things will totally get better for you too 🙂

@Callaxes, I don't have much experience in overcoming break ups, but I can tell that Inktober and other activities that keeps you from thinking too much about bad experiences we just came through helps a lot. In 2013 I had just lost my job and focusing on Inktober helped mea lot to handle things. I hope you get better soon! 🙂

Here's my enter for Inktober 4th. Still developing things for my personal project.

Inktober Day Four. Gaia, the Hidden City.

Gaia was built by the descendents of Aelia during the latter end of the reign of the Old Kings. Because of the war and conflict of the era, they saw the need to create a safehaven for their people. The city was built in secret over the course of 70 years and is considered a defensive stronghold. There is only one mountain pass from the south that leads to Gaia, and even that is often obscured by cloud cover. The surrounding area is home to a number of dragon species, making an attack from above quite tricky. To the north lies the mountain range known as the Divine Wall. It is there that the last known sighting of a Guardian occured. The Guardians have remained silent for the past 200 years.
