Precious. When I was a kid I LOVED upturning logs and rocks in search of critters. Finding a little salamander was just about the coolest thing ever. It immediately became my treasure for the day.

Playing some catch up.
Day 4: Spell - “Jojo found this field right next to the forest where the Clementes could play one of their favorite games called ‘¡Spellcast!’ The game is a mix of tag and ‘Simon Says’. A player must possess the wand to cast a spell on the others. You have four chances to get an opponent to mess up a command. If they do, you cast a spell on them, like make them hop on one foot for an entire turn. It can get a little chaotic.“

Day 5: Chicken - “Netty became enamored with the local wildlife, especially the A’Vestia. The kids dubbed them “chickephants” (chicken + elephant) due to their beaks and floppy ears. ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣

Day 6: Drooling - “Mikey would run off whenever he could and explore the surrounding areas. His favorite so far was the Drooladian Pass.”

Day 7: Exhausted - “Isa was glad her siblings were exhausted from the days adventures. They passed out on their caravan ride, and she could finally get some reading done.”⁣

Day 8: Star - “Whenever they stopped on their adventure, the kids enjoyed staring up at the stars. Mikey especially liked how he could float higher up than normal in his travel pod. He used this time very wisely. And sometimes just to dream.”⁣⁣

Still catching up - day 8 star. Remembering my big sister who passed away from breast cancer in 2017. Like to think she’s among the stars somewhere up there.

Day 9. Precious. I bought a new brush pen. Still need to work on linework and I don't think I captured the sweetness and drama I wanted to. On the other hand I think I pushed the values better. Oh well. This is practice.

@judy-elizabeth-wilson Your drawings are fantastic! They are making me think of "Prickles" and "Goo". It's an idea of Alan Watts' where he's talking about the mechanical, hard edged things vs. more feeling and fluid things in life. Loving the contrast and the cuteness of the characters.

Day 8 - Star -got one day behind tried to get this down quick, playing around with those lightnings ... Cheated by using contrast filter to get it deep black. Has anyone got a hint on how to get black planes more evenly colored? Happy Inkday

Another line and wash for Inktober #9 “Precious”. During line and wash isn’t exactly what most people are doing for Inktober but I’m still using traditional ink which is good practice for me because I can’t erase it.

Oh im so behind in posting my inktobers here! I've had a bunch of down days but also some up days! As Jake says; finished, not perfect. Learning tons though (perspective is still hard) and inked out one of my favorite brushpens
