Day 12-whale. I'm on a bit of a Narwhal jag. -
@missmushy YES. I love this (OF COURSE, haha). Very true and wish more people understood this!!
-
@burvantill These are really lovely.
Looking forward to seeing those roller coaster inks!! :smiling_face_with_open_mouth_smiling_eyes:
Have a great vacation! -
@burvantill take me with you! I’ll carry your bags
-
Thanks @eli! Was watching one of those shows about animal shelters last week and it drove me crazy the numbers of cats and dogs being treated this way and needing rescue. Very sad

Tryin' to learn how to use spot blacks.

It's great to see the Inktoberists here, great idea - and bravo everyone! I've been following a little caveman in my head lately so he's having some adventures with the Inktober prompts. Throughout the days I've tried several brush markers and fountain pens, but I've been settling on brush and dip ink, with a little wash effect.

Nailing it!!! Linework is spot on beautiful Jeff Smith style. I jumped over to your webcomic page, WOW you've got a solid body of work there, I have some reading to do! BRAVO!

Day 12 whale.

@raymond_kaselau Thanks! That's a hell of a compliment to be compared to Jeff Smith.
Enjoy the comic! It's a very bumpy road-map of my art development XD

@missmushy Ugh, I hear you! I have a tough time watching those shows--I get SO sad and SO mad!! But I love that you drew this--I think it illustrates the point perfectly. Ostracism from a family is very damaging to dogs. I want to do a series about this kind of stuff, maybe sell prints and donate the proceeds...

@sas Lol!! That’s funny.

Here's my image for guarded, I added some colour with watercolours.
-
@studiolooong I really like this! I like your use of texture, especially. Well done!
-
@chrisaakins thanks!
-
Two little creatures having a great time.
-
@chrisaakins wow! That’s really beautiful

Wilbur continues his adventure although his creator is getting a bit loss of inspiration. well it’s mostly cause I see everybody’s awesome work and although I know I shouldn’t, I keep on comparing my stuff to others. Maybe in a few years, Wilbur can get a rerun when I can finally alt+z for real and I learned more and gotten better. Just feel so bummed out right now.
