Iโ€™ve still been illustrating Vikings. This is my seventh iteration and I think my favorite:

This looks fun, so much exciting art on this thread.
I've been working on evolving my style lately, by experimenting with a variety of digital brushes and attempting to bring a rougher and simplified look to my work, less line art and more selling the image with shapes, light and textures. Still learning but hopefully getting better, looking forward to taking some SVS classes to improve. I've always struggled with colour and light and used to be all about just colouring inside my own linework, but am trying to change and improve.

Some studio experimentation with bold colours. (From a group art class run by the local school).

@hannahmccaffery Thank you! I realise now that I have some conflict happening with light direction and cast shadows, whoops.

Hi! I'm new here ๐Ÿ™‚ I've just finished the second variation of an environment concept for this world. Here are two different worlds of a city and a forest that were suddenly mashed up, just united in one single moment. I'm open to any advice ๐Ÿ˜Š

Iโ€™m wanting to work up a picture book portfolio and thought Iโ€™d do a simple illustration. Or so I thought until I tried drawing eyes on my little pup. Hmmm, thatโ€™s what eye patches are for, right? LOL Iโ€™ll try to fix it but maybe a pirate costume could be fun and keep the image from being too generic.

@Daria-Khil It's a truly engaging piece to look at. I enjoy your use of warm and cool colors to push things back and pull things forward. Welcome btw! I'm kinda new here too.
