So I had to do an assignment where I analyzed an artifact and present the data with art. I analyzed a Babylon Bee satire on essential oils for men. Here is my visual presentation:

I really had fun with it. Done with color pencils and alcohol markers.

@Braden-Hallett Nice 👍. You should check out EG Keller. He uses some outstanding watercolor brushes that he has developed over time.

@burvantill Thanks! Those are some awesome brushes. I think I'm gonna spend some time makin' some custom watercolour brushes 🙂

Love this thread! Personally, I'm working in some style exploration projects. Most recently (for children's illustration) are these:

@MichaelaH I am loving these. You show so much personality in these characters you are doing from the shapes. They are so imaginative and appealing.

@demotlj Thank You so much, I have to say, it is hard for me, not drawing the characters, but to fit them somehow...yo great exercise 🙂

                                  One "Finish"

One Sketch I didn't think would work as a finish but was fun:

There was some composition issues among other things and the goal is to make a series, but this one skews on a tangent. Still fun though.

After a long bathroom remodel I was able to take a few days to relax in the pool and of course doodle. Here is a little self portrait of myself.

continue exploring to develop my style of image making. Trying out hard edges, almost no lighting, and lots of textures, and a bit of patterns. reading.jpg

We took a road trip to Yellowstone and one of my friends was kind enough to watch our house (and my guinea pigs) while we were gone. So I painted this illustration of her 3 cats as a thank-you gift. I can't just paint plain pet portraits I guess! This was also my first time trying out gouache paint and colored pencils.
