@Braden-Hallett I would so buy and read this book to my granddaughter. You must finish it! Maybe it could be one of those progressively insane "...said the...". We used to play this game with my son. "What does the dog say?" "woof!" "What does the camel say?" "Ppbthbbfth!!!" (With lots of spitting) throw in a camel and I will buy two copies in advance!

I like a solid watercolour colour and shade it in with pencil crayon, must get back to the traditional soon.
-
@chrisaakins I'm plannin' on tossing together a book dummy at some point :smiling_face_with_open_mouth_closed_eyes:

@Braden-Hallett I was thinking my 7 year old would love this if it were a graphic novel. Sadly he judges very strongly on illustrations and will not even give a book a chance if he doesn’t like the look of it. This would pass his test for sure!
-
@Erin-Cortese That's good to hear
-
Callin' it done.
Now I just need to do this 60-70 more times.
-
Here’s the actual cow I was doing before @Braden-Hallett blew me away with his cow and chicken on a spaceship. The composition isn’t great because I was doing it just to practice some line and wash but it’s a cow, or actually it’s a bull....and a calf, a woodchuck, a baby woodchuck instead of a chicken, and he is drinking coffee not eating cheese, and they are on a farm not on a spaceship, and there are no banjos in sight, but other than that it’s just like Braden’s painting
-
Started out doodling The Dude in a meeting and decided I had to finish it.
Doesn't particularly look like Jeff Bridges but considering it was just for fun I'm okay with it.
-
@demotlj I require more cheese, banjos and spaceships.
Demand, in fact
-
DOOOOOOONE!
-
@Braden-Hallett I love this and completely missed the origin story. So fun!
-
@Braden-Hallett Stupendous! When will you be putting this up for sale?
-
@Braden-Hallett this.is.freaking.awesome!!!!!!!!
-
Just finished. Whew.
-
@Braden-Hallett
And here I thought it was done already. That cow is sooo proud of her utter.
-
@Coley
Really nice rim light on the characters! -
@Coley WOW! That's so good! Love your composition!
-
@MikeCañas thank you so much! It was a scary experiment LoL! I liked the way it came out though. Thanks again
-
@Su thank you!
-
@xin-li I like the watercolour coloured pencils combination too
I usually do a light layer in watercolour first (usually a warm yellow) then fill in larger shapes in watercolour, and draw on top in coloured pencils. I really like my Derwent colorsoft coloured pencils - they blend nicely, and come in a lot of nice colours.
