your becoming a fabulous teacher with everything so nicely scheduled out.

        It's because I was literally a teacher for a few years :smiling_face_with_open_mouth_closed_eyes:

one of these days I will be able to do the alternating thick-thin lines like you do

I think I may be having an easier time of it since I'm doing it digital. A real brush pen's a lot harder to use 🙂 (in other words your lines look pretty darn good to me!)

Here is Thursday's practice. I tend to draw and paint very fast but I am finding that slowing down really helps with the finer details. Too quick and you bear down too hard. So, you are right @Braden-Hallett but @Aleksey I have to do straight lines faster or I start to wobble a bit. I guess I need to strengthen those core art muscles 🙂

@chrisaakins Drawing a sphere of feathers or leaves is the bane of my existence. Great practice, though!

              Lookin' good 😃

Daily accountability: this took so long I did not have time to do daily line practice, but this forced me to try line variation with a brush pen for a lot longer than I am doing in daily practice exercises.

@chrisaakins I also find “slow and steady” to be the most difficult.

@Braden-Hallett thanks Braden! My hand doesn’t always do what my brain tells it to, but good to know that my brain is on the right track 🚊I think I can, I think I can 🚂😊

                            I’m happy. 🤣
It’s very sensitive compared to a micron. For sure! I’ve been using a micron or small tip dip pen for so long, the change will be interesting. I used the brush pen on the fuzzy shapes as if I was using a micron and I really like the effect. And the FINE line! Wow. When @Jake-Parker talks about the light pressure like a butterfly licking his paper I didn’t get it. Do now. Lol. 😃

I moved the daily inking practice to evening today, but I forgot my Pentel brush pen and the studio. This filt pen was the only thing I can find at home.

Even though, filt pen is much easier to get a consistent line weight, I felt something is missing with this type of pen. I get very satisfied when I managed a long smooth curve with a brush pen, but this filt pen does not give me the same kind of kick.

@xin-li A the same time, though, the unvaried line quality does work with that style of illustration! Very cool.

Brush pen practice. I think I had the most trouble with the head and hair of the inventor girl.
