rising from the ashes

I only just learned about this plattform and its like everything came together I was ever looking for! I am no professional artist or illustrator by any means - and I still have a regular (more or less boring) day job. But ever since I was little I loved drawing and creating.
After I finished school I applied for art school - but was rejects. That really stung and broke my motivation to keep going - so for the next like 15 years I hardly ever drew or painted again. Only when I met my today husband I somehow started drawing again. First sporadically - I took a few art classes to learn a bit about watercolor and joined skillshare where I learned a ton about different things including some basics on drawing too. But watching classes wont get you any further - you need to practice too - I knew that but somehow didn't know how to get going... By January first this year I joined a drawing challenge using procreate and my iPad pro. I had been playing around with it a lot but hadn't used it regularly up till then. So starting this year I joined that challenge and have been drawing almost every day since. Its a lot of work but I love it to bits and love to see the progress I've already made. I am nowhere near where I want to be but I am eager to learn and keep going and more sure than ever before that this is what I love to do and want to pursue!
I am very happy and excited to be her!

@Kim-Bieri Welcome! I know you will feel at home here. Everyone is on an artistic journey and so willing to help others along the way. I find this forum to be a safe place but also a place full of fellow artists willing to tell you what you need to hear to help you reach higher. Keep up the great work. Welcome again.
