I just wanted to share with you my crazy Etsy day!

I had a collection launch planned this morning for my digital planning Etsy shop, The Digital Siren. It was my most highly anticipated collection since I opened my shop, I had a massive coupon scheduled to go out to my mailing list, and I'd been hyping it up for weeks. And then I publish my listings and... Nothing. My launch email never went out.

I contact MailerLite in a panic - they tell me they are under a DDos hacker attack and the whole platform is down. They don't know when they'll be running again. I'm crying and panicking: Is this 2 months of hard work just down the drain from a botched launch?? People start messaging me by the dozens: Is this out yet? Where's the coupon? What happened? Is this planner a Monday start or a Sunday start? What's the coupon code? I struggle to keep up with the deluge of confused emails and DMs and enlist the help of all my friends to spread that coupon code around. "I just purchased, can you refund me the amount of the coupon?" "How do you open a ZIP file?" ... "Where's the darn coupon??" It's chaos. After hours of frenetic typing, I receive word that MailerLite is up and running again. Finally, I send out my email at 5pm. The DMs start slowing down - the sales start going up. I start working through my custom cover orders.

At 10 pm things calm down, I finally take a minute to breathe and look at my stats. I made $2000 today. This beats my previous best day by oh, $1800 hahaha... What a day!

@burvantill I certainly feel like I've been on a roller coaster ride haha.. But this is amazing, I never expected so much. and now, I need a few days off LOL

@NessIllustration I'm sorry for the stress! But there are so many people shopping for your stuff right now that I don't think you're quite done making money today

It also says 'buyers are raving' and that you got multiple five star reviews the last few days, something i've never seen before... congrats, i love your shop!

@carolinebautista I think that's from all the reviews I got today! This is all just blowing my mind, like especially after running around taking out fires all day it's just not sinking in haha

@KathrynAdebayo That's so kind, thank you dear! The new digital planning shop is doing much better than the clipart shop, so I'm taking a step back from the clipart at the moment to focus on this shop If these kinds of sale numbers continue, I'm getting very close to being able to do this full-time which is my dream!! Thanks so much for your encouragement

I do digital planners and digital stickers, with a focus on higher-quality hand drawn graphics compared to what's usually available in this industry. This positioning has worked really well for me and brought me a lot more success than I ever had with prints or clipart, for example

I'm taking a little break from releasing new collections there though, since the new shop is doing so well so I've been focusing more of my time and effort there!
