Our SVS Virtual Studio APRIL 2020🐰

@aprilshin - This rock rhino is very cute! It reminds me of how some people like to paint on small rocks. I like the textures of the rhino & background.
-
@Miriam Good points - I think what I'll do is give it some time and I'll revisit it. I was just noticing that I want to redo a bit of the upper forest as well because some of the trees look flat and their distance isn't translating based on how I did some of them.

I participated in the #monochromemonth2020 challenge on Instagram started by @ruthhammondillustration and I FINALLY COMPLETED IT! This challenge and 15 prompts, one illustration to be posted every other day and I’ve never been motivated enough to complete a long term challenge.
So I’m pretty happy. I did lose my energy a little in the middle but apparently putting pressure on myself by declaring my commitment to it in front of strangers (social media) works for me!
This was also my practice for Inktober which is SO fast paced I’ve never been able to cope with it. OH well, little wins!This time I linked all the prompts and created a story to give Myself incentive. If anyone is interested, they can see all the illustrations and follow the prompt/story on my Instagram. @NRBStudio.in
(The story starts from the bottom right post) -
@Neha-Rawat congratulations ! That’s a big accomplishment! Wow!
-
Still picking at Harry Potter. Not sure if it’s too dark or maybe needs some texture or lines.

Hi guys!
I m currently working on a step to step timelapse video for my followers on IG ,
regarding the stages I go through when making an illustration (digital)
I upload a step every day ,and I answer questions regarding that step.Here is the first four steps I made , rough concept-sketch-inks-colour blocked.
Cheers! -
@smileyflower very cute and dreamy!!
-
@Julia Thank you so so much! Your paintings are so lovely and vibrant:)
-
Finally finished my final prop design project for the prop design class. I like it okay, I guess.
-
@chrisaakins the glass effect is cool. The space feels isolated but I like the added touches of the warmer colours
.
-
@Heather-Boyd I had no plans beyond the props. And I got a little lazy and just didn't want to anymore...
-
I did this as a study for a formal traditional painting but I liked the composition of the study better so I turned it into a digital painting. I am very happy with it. I could see this being on cards or as a print.
