It's been a long time since I did the last monthly project, and it feels like i've chosen a tough month to get back into it. I've done 3 quick thumbails of some ideas that I hope relate to isolation:

1 - A world where people live on small islands and communicate with string (?) telephone cables. However 1 rundown house's cables have been severed by a bird, or broken from age, isolating the person from the rest of the community.

2 - People all living in bird cages but living together, with 1 cage dimly lit where a person is living by themselves. (Inspired by the work of Lee White 🙂 )

3 - The character has ordered lots of packages to keep themselves busy but has resorted to drawing happy faces on the boxes to try and be surrounded by others.

Let me know what you think. I'll try add some more thumbnail ideas as they come along, but this is a hard one 😕

Oh man, these are all so good! I'm drawn towards #1 aesthetically, and towards #3 for the idea. I feel the most emotion when I see #2... it's just so sad! And the cold color emphasizes it so much more. Can't wait to see the finished product since your work is always amazing!

I'm personally a big fan of idea #2. There's something magical about it that your color choices and lighting seem to speak to.

But seriously, these are all awesome ideas. Any one of them would make a really strong image!!

@Gary-Wilkinson Oh man! Right in the feels! All of them!

2 and 3 resonated the most with me. I think 2 will look brilliant with the colors and lighting you have going on.

Really looking forward to see how you take them forward!

I liked 1 and 2 best, 2 is the easiest quickest read and a really cool idea and the lighting will be amazing. 3 I wonder if I’d understand it as quickly if I didnt read what you wrote first. But once the viewer gets it, it is powerful. They all are! Looking forward to progress, I love your artwork.

I like 1 the best because it could be really fun, but 2 would have cool lighting. Can’t go wrong with either one!

great thumbnails, I like 2. It's the most legible, I thought 3 was an amazon delivery person then I read your notes and realized I was wrong. 1 is beautifully designed-great house, but I struggle reading the message you're trying to convey. I love the environment in the first thumbnail though.

@Gary-Wilkinson glad to see you back on the forums! I like number 1 the best. I also see lots of potential with number 3.

@Gary-Wilkinson is number 2 a kid sitting in a bird cage? Love it. I made a similar thumbnail a couple weeks ago in the begining of the lockdown. I found it surreal and strange to see that the only thing that was on the street by then was pigons ad crows. I was trying to make the windows on the building look like birdcages, but I could not get the image to work entirely. So it was just lying around in my ipad and do nothing. Your thumbnail shows me a very elegent solution by making one cage a focus. wow. I would love to see that idea come to the final :-).
Hope you do not mind I share my thumbnail here:

@Gary-Wilkinson My vote is for the first one. I'd love to see the wires criss crossing all over.

@Gary-Wilkinson Hi Gary, as always, such great ideas. Sorry for the late vote. Love the imagined world in #1. It expresses the theme, but #1 still leaves room for humor.
