Working on my Luna and the baby thestral piece.
-
Yesterday I got the wonderful chance to see some of my neighbour's calves so I did a gouache painting of them in my sketchbook. I've only started using gouache so I've a LOT to learn:)
-
@aprilshin Thanks - yeah I like the idea of watercolors more than I like the outcomes of when I use it
-
He may not have many repeat clients... but I've heard he gives amazing life advice.
-
Originally, I was going for a scary character, but this face looks far too friendly.
-
Jubjub does not enjoy flying...
-
@xin-li What a lovely composition in the second illustration
-
Lovely work everyone!
I am working on this sequence of illustrations for my portfolio. -
@Elisheba thank you. I feel the spring now, especially after been home for so long
@nadyart It was inspired by one of the first days I took my kid out to the park after being indoor for so long. We discovered the blue flowers were everywhere in one of the quiet small parks nearby where we live. :-). -
@EliaMurrayArt Very cool piece! It reminds me of Beetlejuice.
-
@Braden-Hallett Awesome character hahaha
-
Playing around with gradient maps in Photoshop. I quite like the foundation they lay and I can paint right on top of them to save a lot of time.
-
Trying out a comic style on Procreate. I really need to draw from reference but oh well.
-
Luna and the thestral in the forbidden forest. I really like it but it's really really slow gathering likes on Instagram and Facebook so maybe I'm missing something LoL. It feels kinda sucky when that happens but I guess that's part of this whole process of putting oneself out there! So I'm thinking about gratitude and not wallowing lol. I learned some stuff and I like it so there ha Ha
Moving on

Drew my friend's D&D character. Experimenting with texture!
-
Friendly shapes. Unfriendly character
-
@Coley Nice illustration! I love how the little girl's dress is glowing with stars. It gives the magical vibes. Cute!
-
More playing around...
A strength of this one is the texture of the wood. I am very pleased with how that turned out. The rope needs work but overall, it was a good and productive exercise in learning Procreate.
