Inktober Day Fifteen - Outpost

Similar to my last few posts, it took a while to come up with an idea; after about an hour of idea generating and thumbnail sketching, the image of an astronaut living in an outpost on the moon longing for home entered my mind.

I'm quite pleased with how this piece turned out. If I had to change anything, I think I'd add more stars and/or darken the area which resides slightly above the Earth circle. I'd also darken the section of the moon which lies in the bottom left corner of the composition in order to make it seem more round (though I wouldn't want to overdo it).
