I've been a listener of the svs podcast for over a year now and I've been hearing so many great things about this forum so I'm really happy to finally have bit the bullet and joined in. Looking forward to more interactions here!

My challenge this December is to finish my 4-page comic project, that's been dragging for a while. It's a "comic-clip", a song put into comic. I chose "Sultans of Swing" from the Dire Straits, one of my favourite bands from my youth.

Here are the two finished pages (photos from my mobile, not good quality). The technique is sepia color pencil (Caran D'Ache Prismalo).

Also I wanted to share some work of my own too
I've been experimenting getting textures and finishes using shadows and highlights
On this particular one, I experimented trying to make different colors look fitting as either skin or some sort of bionic finish on this cyborg character.

I gotta say, I'm pretty happy with how this experiment turned out although there's loads of room for improvement!

Are there any other ways I can experiment with getting texture on skin and making colored skin tones?
