Our SVS Virtual Studio APRIL 2021π°
-
I've got some serious catching up to do on sharing, so here are the projects I completed in February and March. So if we're imagining an SVS studio walk through for this month, these are the pieces that would be scattered on my desk, floor, and chair.
-
Doing a personal project based on last years Inktober.
-
Tried my hand at watercolour paint and made some Star Wars creatures that are no longer welcome at the Cantina
-
@jakecrowe I've just started this course. I am bigger fan of spaceships even though they are intimidating to draw. These are done really well! Adding personality is exciting though I struggle with cars already.
-
I'm making work in preparation for Mermay! These mar-babies make me so happy. I feel like I get closer to my truest artistic voice with every piece I make. But I still have so much to learn. Working my way through SVS classes on the side, starting at square one. (Literally. Working through David Hohn's basic perspective class right now, lol!)

@Heather-Boyd I also love a good spaceship. So fun to smash shapes together and give it an engine and a windshield. Ta da! Spaceship.

@Cayleen they're so creative. Love to see these little fruit and veg characters on your IG!
-
@demotlj that's so cool! Thanks for sharing ... gotta go check that out. Would really help, not only with angles, but with character consistency.
-
@Tiffany-Thomas beautiful rendering! Love your delicate brushwork.
-
@cianamacaroni LOVE your collage style! Especially those fun papers and textures you use. Great job!

This is Peanut - my cousinβs pup. I didnβt intend to make it in a realistic way but if you give me something to draw that has hair I will spend as much time as I can on it because itβs my favourite thing to draw
anyone else have their one thing they love to draw thatβs like a meditation and you could do it for hours? My other love is tree branches..
-
@Melissa-Bailey-0 Aw, thanks!

My soul needed to draw, so I started a new sketchbook for more detailed and refined sketches. Feeling much better to get this out of my arm.

I have finished drawing my comic page for my friend's challenge. Time to color. I'm really loving this. The whole idea of telling a short story with a punch and trying to contain it to one page has definitely been a fun challenge. Did I pull it off?
On a laugh scale from 1 to 5, one being no laugh and five being a nice big HA!where did I land with you? Just curious. If you answer please be honest. I don't need my ego petted
Edit: you know how you see stuff after you post. I think I'm going to move the text in panel three up to panel one.
