I struggled to design weak and strong at first because I struggled to draw a car which I haven't done for a few years. So I tried Jake Parker's car and then the assignment. What I am showing here (red car page) is my second attempt.

@Heather-Boyd thank you for your input! I agree. I want to keep playing with it because it's an intriguing idea to me. My son is very very good at STEM type stuff so I value his opinion. It's just funny cause he's so blunt.

@Heather-Boyd The silhouette method is entirely new to me but I totally get that it's brilliant. I just have a lot of work to figure out how it works. I keep trying and giving up but I'm going to keep pushing myself because I know once I figure it out I'll be one step closer to doing this professionally! Maybe more youtube videos? 😊

@Leah Hey, I think you did great. The weak one turned out awesome but maybe you could push the strong one a little more. I'm not even really sure how but I think maybe it could use a little more exaggeration. Maybe straighter lines by the front windshield?? I don't know what I would change if it were mine but it feels like it could be pushed further somehow.

@Leah i love the variation in the different versions of this vehicle. They each have their own personality.

@Leah The 1st one definitely reads as weak, and structurally falling to pieces. The 2nd one exudes a vibe of confidence, like a strong personality. I like that take on it (as opposed to physical strength).

@Heather-Boyd I can see that the gray ones have more deliberate shapes. Did you draw those after the red ones?

@Heather-Boyd Nice job 'carving' the shape of the fuselage/plane body from the block forms, getting the perspective down, and positioning all the parts. The pontoons also look solid and buoyant.

Hi folks, here's my container ship. This shape was pretty challenging probably because it was just so massive. I had trouble breaking it down into basic shapes.

@jenn I agree the ship was harder than I thought also (might be posting this weekend or two weeks from now- depends on how things are going). I had trouble with perspective and the ship being in water. I think your "cargo" may be a tad large.

@Heather-Boyd nice work 'carving' the shape out of the block. It looks believable and seaworthy. I feel like the nose of the ship in the top image should curve inward more as it gets closer to the water. Thanks for your feedback on mine too.
