Hi, so lovely to see all the MerMay art! I am having a bit of a hard time navigating in this forum. If I understood right this is not the official feed to post the 'final' Mermay. How do I find the guidelines and place to see the posts? Thanks

My first mermay drawing. It was for May the 4th, so I used the chance to sneak in some star wars stuff (it's a lightsaber she's grasping at - I'm not sure how obvious that is). I have been doing the Painting Color and Light course, so I wanted to experiment with some interesting lighting. I intentionally kept the rest of the image very simple.

Whenever I think of mermaids, my mind instantly goes to those beautiful illustrations of perfectly curved body shapes and flowing hair and magical atmosphere. Oh how I wish I could create something like that one day. But for now, I think cute is what makes me happy
