SVS Virtual Studio OCTOBER 2022

I haven't posted in quite a while but I've been enjoying what everyone else has been doing. Some wonderful stuff in this thread!
I went to Italy in September and have been doing some paintings based on that trip so here is the kind of thing I've been working on: Italian laundry

@kylebeaudette LMAO! Holy crow these are hilarious!
-
Did a quick little halloween scene, which I’m thinking could go well on a greeting card someday.
-
Days 14-31. I made it through Inktober. Yay!
-
@Mia-Clarke It would make a good greeting card! It's a very well composed image.
Are you working digitally or traditionally? -
I cartooned myself for a uni assignment
-
Homemade Halloween costumes

@Stephanie-H Thanks!
️ This one is all digital, but some of my other stuff is digital, ink and oils.

@Kim-Rosenlof I second what @Mia-Clarke said about it being really open. I personally am trying to make up a folktale inspired story based on the prompts. So essentially a story that is told in 7 images, which is proving to be quite the challenge, but good one nonetheless.
Another person who does the challenge in this way is Cynthia Cliff. I recommend checking out her past prompt based projects, in which she tells a story.
Also I find the creators of the challenge chose the word for each day wisely (you can tell they put thought into which word falls on what day) and if you do a little research as to the significance of each word as it relates to folklore tradition, it can be a really good jumping off point for storytelling.
Hope this helps to get a better idea of the challenge (I too was a little confused about it's open-endedness at first).

@Pamela-Fraley so BA!
-
@Rafael-Morales-III thanks! Those were very very challenging.
