Day 4!
-
I've had this house rattling around my head for a while
-
Hi. I'm going through a rough breakup with my girlfriend of 2 and 1/2 years. The way I see it there's 2 things I can do: 1) cry myself to sleep, 2) draw like crazy.
Just wanted to say that, because I feel Inktober is really helping me overcome this, so I want to thank Mr. Parker for making this.
I work a lot with watercolor and I... just.. couldn't... help myself on this one. I promise the next drawing is going to be 100% ink.

@Callaxes At the beginning of the year I went through a break up with my partner of 10 years and we had at the time, a 3 year old girl. She's now 4. Believe me, it really, really does get easier. It looks like it doesn't now to you, but it does. Put your negative energy into a positive one and keep creating.

@Ace-Connell Thanks Ace. My heart goes out to you man. Hope things get better for you.
-
@Callaxes They are better. My daughter and I have an amazing relationship and the tension that was on the relationship isn't there anymore. Things will totally get better for you too
-
@Callaxes, I don't have much experience in overcoming break ups, but I can tell that Inktober and other activities that keeps you from thinking too much about bad experiences we just came through helps a lot. In 2013 I had just lost my job and focusing on Inktober helped mea lot to handle things. I hope you get better soon!
Here's my enter for Inktober 4th. Still developing things for my personal project.

Day 4: My daughter and her balloon
Lessons learned: Don't put too much texture on a background item, detracts focus from what I wanted.
Learn composition
Figure out how to indicate reflectiveness on shiny objects
Get better on environments -
Inktober Day Four. Gaia, the Hidden City.
Gaia was built by the descendents of Aelia during the latter end of the reign of the Old Kings. Because of the war and conflict of the era, they saw the need to create a safehaven for their people. The city was built in secret over the course of 70 years and is considered a defensive stronghold. There is only one mountain pass from the south that leads to Gaia, and even that is often obscured by cloud cover. The surrounding area is home to a number of dragon species, making an attack from above quite tricky. To the north lies the mountain range known as the Divine Wall. It is there that the last known sighting of a Guardian occured. The Guardians have remained silent for the past 200 years.
