I started working on the second colored page for my book dummy yesterday. It took me a while to get going on the color, my insecurities were keeping me from it. I had to tell myself to just freaking do it! If I screw it up Iโ€™ll do it again. Then as soon as Iโ€™m into it the insecurities go away. Weird. Does anyone else have this problem?
        Here are some progress pics.

These were done month back or so but itโ€™s an update none the less. These are large files so I will have to separate them in posts.

Just completed 5 week life drawing class. Still a lot to learn but felt good to get something looking almost human on the paper! But more practice needed so will be going to some drop in sessions in future. 0_1541422008685_DFA0195A-092F-446A-9C92-2869B5E5BC75.jpeg

I picked up this bad boy for $5 this weekend at the thrift store. Woot! No more standing at the window to trace my art. ๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

I'm starting a little late on this. This is going to be a two birds with one stone piece. The SVS Learn November contest, "Slow", and the SCBWI November contest, "Ritual". I'm at the value stage...obviously. ๐Ÿ˜‚
Since my art table is being monopolized by my book dummy project, I'm going to try and do this whole thing in Procreate ๐Ÿ˜ณ.

Sometimes itโ€™s good to let a picture breath a bit, then come to it with fresh eyes. Sometimes what is needed is quite obvious, other times not. Anyway, revisited Samwise and Shelob.

@burvantill yes, I am using Apple Pencil on IPad Pro. I love it. I had tried other options before but nothing felt natural to me.

@missmushy I tried a couple out at the Apple store the other day and I had to push hard to get them to respond. It made for a very unstable line. Do you find that you have to push down harder? In hindsight I was wondering if it was because they were not laying on a firm surface. They were propped up with the flimsy covers. ๐Ÿค”

@burvantill no donโ€™t have to push hard at all. Not sure why that might be. Unless the settings in store pencil were weird for some reason.
