SVS does Inktober 2018
-
Safe at last! -
Haven't posted days 1 - 6 on here, but I thought it's never too late to start; here's day 7, Exhausted:
Would love any feedback! Thanks -
Exhausted - it’s still yesterday somewhere right? Thanksgiving shall not derail me. I will not fall behind. I will not fall behind.
Week 1 done and SVSers are killing it! On to week 2!! (Ps thanks for all the follows on Insta too)
-
The holiday is over and this is my last Inktober pretend-entry ...no 8?
Life and work is back in full swing and there will be no more outdoor sketching for a while... -
#inktober #inktober2018 Day 8 Drooling (mix up with Day 6)

Day 08: Star
Ipheion, the starflower -
I’m using Inktober to improve my line and wash and had many unsuccessful drawings but this one turned out ok. Getting there. (A day late posting but I didn’t have time to finish until today.)
Day 7: Exhausted -
@teju-abiola Nice technique! I would love to do some watercolour like this.
-
Day 8, Star! The Big Dipper has a naked-eye double in it’s handle made of two stars, Alcor and Mizar. In Native American mythology these stars are known as Chickadee and his cooking pot. Chickadee is a fearsome warrior who, along with Robin and Moose-Bird, chase Mother Bear (the “cup” part of the dipper) across the sky.

Day 8: Wish

Day 8: Star -
Day 8. I broke my rule of no Christmas before Thanksgiving but it was for a good cause.
-
What are these two up to?
-
Happy Pumpkin man. -
@studiolooong This is adorable. And the story is interesting.
-
@burvantill thanks so much!
-
@judy-elizabeth-wilson Yes, do it
-
Precious!
-
Precious. When I was a kid I LOVED upturning logs and rocks in search of critters. Finding a little salamander was just about the coolest thing ever. It immediately became my treasure for the day.
-
Playing some catch up.
Day 4: Spell - “Jojo found this field right next to the forest where the Clementes could play one of their favorite games called ‘¡Spellcast!’ The game is a mix of tag and ‘Simon Says’. A player must possess the wand to cast a spell on the others. You have four chances to get an opponent to mess up a command. If they do, you cast a spell on them, like make them hop on one foot for an entire turn. It can get a little chaotic.“
Day 5: Chicken - “Netty became enamored with the local wildlife, especially the A’Vestia. The kids dubbed them “chickephants” (chicken + elephant) due to their beaks and floppy ears.
Day 6: Drooling - “Mikey would run off whenever he could and explore the surrounding areas. His favorite so far was the Drooladian Pass.”
Day 7: Exhausted - “Isa was glad her siblings were exhausted from the days adventures. They passed out on their caravan ride, and she could finally get some reading done.”
Day 8: Star - “Whenever they stopped on their adventure, the kids enjoyed staring up at the stars. Mikey especially liked how he could float higher up than normal in his travel pod. He used this time very wisely. And sometimes just to dream.”
