I'm not very inky - but I have to admit I had so much fun doing this. It worked up fairly quickly and I really need to find some time this week to do more. I used inktense for the washes and some detail, plus an ink marker. I just had to throw a little bit of colour in there too.
Love what everyone has created so far and am looking forward to a month of inky creations from you all.

Day 2: Tranquil
I originally struggled with this drawing. I didn't want to do a typical 'tranquil' landscape of mountains and water, or someone meditating which (according to Google image search) everyone relates to tranquility.
For me, tranquility is finding peace and enjoying the little things. I wanted to capture that in this artwork. It was a lot of fun.

I just keep on sketching for as long as it last - so this would be day 2. This guy was selling beads and trinkets off a canoe just before the shoreline (in the water) - because itΒ΄s forbidden to peddle on the beach where I am now in Sardegna! So, he had found his solution. It was a real character: more than 6 feet tall, hunched and stiff, with bathing shorts and loose fishing boots...I sketched him while he was peeling an orange as a snack.
