 @burvantill Love it! Good luck.

 Had a chance to traditionally paint my cats a few nights ago. I think it turned out better than I was expecting.

 @burvantill I've gotta get my rear in gear and do an entry for that prompt... I love all the muddy smeared paw prints

 Newest comic page! Mayb next chapter I'll try flat cel shading.

 @SketchyArtish @Braden-Hallett , thanx guys!

    Just trying to produce more finished work so I can evaluate it and have it evaluated online. This is a waiter I saw in a (coffee) bar in a tiny mountain hamlet near Aosta, Italy. He looked fierce and eccentric and I thought he might make a good character. I am always torn, though, between whether to exaggerate for comic effect or whether to keep things relatively realistic. I didn't have much time to be on the forums while I was taking the Backgrounds course, but now I'll try to start posting and commenting again ļø. ļø.

 I'm working on some illustrations for a doula who is doing some parenting workshops.

 @Braden-Hallett I am so impressed by your work volume. You seem to produce more than one great thing a day. Iām curious, do you have a day job or school? Iām trying to decide if Iām just a slacker or not in comparison . .
-

 @burvantill Thanks I don't have a day job right now. I spent a few years saving up some runway so for the past year and the next year I'm just gonna be drawing (apart from small, random freelance work) I don't have a day job right now. @Braden-Hallett Bravo! Iām so jealous . .

 @Braden-Hallett You're going to get grilled now, because I decided last night to ask you some questions too. -
I noticed that you said those are for warm up. Your characters look pretty well worked out. Do you set a time limit, or do you just go until you're happy?
-
Are those prompts from a random generator, or are you following some sort of public challenge?
 The most recent 3 Point Perspective podcast made me think about focusing better on things that are relevant to my goals (which is art for my games). Character creation is a huge part of that, so what you are doing with those prompts seems right up my alley. Think I'm going to do a sub-par version of this to get the creative juices flowing each morning. Thanks for the inspiration!

 @Braden-Hallett Such luxury! (Don't take notice of this little jealous monkey.) This is so cool to hear that you just took a break from everything to go with your passion! You're my hero of the day.

 @LauraA I think this is wonderful!

 @Braden-Hallett Your color choice is always amazing! You have a very personal and unique style. This happens whenever I leave my nephews to play alone. By the time I get back some one is in a head lock, haha!

 This month I have been studying how to draw the head. A few of these are studies from life, others are studies from Andrew Loomis' book "Drawing the Head and Hands" Sketches of the character "Dr. Void"

 @SketchyArtish yay! Grilling! 1.) I have a set amount of time (2 hours) in the morning that I use for practice linework, a random character (or colour/texture study, I kinda waffle between the two) and work on a comic page. So I DO have a time limit, but it's kind of a loose limit, if you get what I mean? 2.)The prompts are from a random genny. Art prompts. I don't they update their site much anymore, though, which is too bad All kinda of neat prompts though for characters, monsters, environments, etc. All kinda of neat prompts though for characters, monsters, environments, etc.Glad I could help Targeted art practice is HARD. Another neat place to get character concepts it the character drawing subreddit. Lots of neat dnd characters n stuff. Targeted art practice is HARD. @Sas @RJWoodworth Thanks!

 @Braden-Hallett Thanks for the info. Art prompts is where I got the idea for today. That site and Something to Draw are great for randomness. Went to Reddit and I'm already subbed to that one. I need to login to my art account more often! There is just soooo much to learn with art. It really is tough not to chase squirrels and stay focused.

 @Braden-Hallett I'm impressed with your volume even knowing that you "just draw all day." As a person with a perfection paralysis/volume problem, I'm totally inspired to follow in your footsteps! This week's podcast also helped.
-

 @LauraA Thanks! Yeah, that was a particularly good episode of the podcast for me, too. I have the same analysis paralysis problem, too. I think it's just one of those things
