Squeezing in another piece or two before my first portfolio showcase in 2 weeks! This one expands on the girls stargazing that I did a few weeks back.

Teaching composition and painting still lifes at school. Here is my WIP. After looking at @Lee-White 's new stuff I am trying out some textures and I blocked in my values. So. Much. Fun.

@xin-li you may want to give a white charcoal or chalk pencil a try, something like this: https://www.generalpencil.com/blog/category/charcoal-white

Not sure how it would interact or blend with colored pencil. I also know of a few artists who will go into a pencil/watercolor drawing with white acrylic paint or gouache at the very end to pop the highlights.

Still in a rough drawing stage, but it is coming along. I am planning on doing some inking studies along side finishing up the penciling.
