How to Ink Group Runthrough Week 4
-
@burvantill ohhh classic. I think youβd really like a book i have called rendering in pen and ink by arthur guptil. Dejavu though i think we may have already discussed this book.
-
@Aleksey Its possible, but I don't remember
. I just looked it up and it doesn't look familiar. From just looking at the cover I think I would like it. =)x

Daily ink wash practice. This one I sketched a bit (2 thumbnails instead of 50 :smiling_face_with_open_mouth: ) Splashing is fun, but I think I over did it. I also messed up the little girl character in the bottom corner. Next up, I should try nib for tighter details, and maybe try a toothbrush for splashing?

@xin-li I really like this and I think adding details with a fine point would be very effective. I hope you post it if you do try it.

@burvantill This is so nice. I love how natural your cross hatching is. Mine always feels too stilted. I think I need to loosen up somehow.

@demotlj Thankyou. I would like to be neater but it always ends up looking like a birds nest to me.
-
@burvantill You'd like to be neater.... I'd like to be looser. The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence!
-
@demotlj right
-
@demotlj i think that comes with practice with the tool.
-
@burvantill that's really nice!
-
@Coley Thankyou
-
-
@burvantill this is crazy, and cool
-
@demotlj thank you. I will try the nib when I get back to the studio on Monday

Yeah Aaron Hokey and Mark A Nelson have similar styles with micron pens.
