How to Ink Group Runthrough Week 4

Daily ink wash practice. This one I sketched a bit (2 thumbnails instead of 50 :smiling_face_with_open_mouth: ) Splashing is fun, but I think I over did it. I also messed up the little girl character in the bottom corner. Next up, I should try nib for tighter details, and maybe try a toothbrush for splashing?

@xin-li I really like this and I think adding details with a fine point would be very effective. I hope you post it if you do try it.

I haven’t been as vigilant at my daily practice as I should be but today I did some digital work while watching TV. I feel like I must be much slower than everyone else because I never fill the page like you all do.

Day 5 of week 4. I’m looking forward to next weeks Light and Shadow. I think I need help in that department. How to add shadow without loosing the subject in all of the hatch lines

@burvantill This is so nice. I love how natural your cross hatching is. Mine always feels too stilted. I think I need to loosen up somehow.

Well, @Braden-Hallett been crazy for me too. I confess I have not watched the videos. I have been working on drawing mice and experimenting with ink combos. Here is my practice for what it is worth.

@chrisaakins Well-this is all about getting ready for Inktober, right-I think you're spot on with blending inking practice with other preparatory activities. Smart! And I'm loving the mice.
And it reads as a cellphone to me.
