@Coley thank you! I am quite please with how her mouth is looking. And her ears 🥰🥰 I am using La Premier air dry clay. This is the first time I am trying it out. I chose it because I wouldn't have to use the oven and I could sculpt, dry, carve, sand and layer more clay on pretty easily.

It is definitely waaayyy different than what I am used to (super sculpey) but I think I am actually liking it quite a bit more.

@LauraA thank you!! Sometimes I really feel like it all "clicks" when I work dimensionally. This time is especially that. Like the drawings are all building up to something that would be built.

Made her hair this morning! All needle felted over some pipe cleaners.

The hair is not currently attached. I'll paint her first and then glue the hair on. I'm absolutely obsessed with her now and I deeply apologize for spamming the forum with photos of her.

Exciting stuff! We had Olives with dinner last night and I just loved the red of the can and that if I messed with the label then I could get Lisa's name on her robot so after some sanding and smashing (very violent stuff today) I've got the start to the robot body.

To the left is the start of his poor little dented head. 🥰

Today was "Bring your wife to work so she can rummage through the scraps" day.

I'm quite fortunate to have a husband who works in a metal fabrication facility. I was able to gather springs, bolts, nuts, metal chunks, and even some giant cogs and such. very excited. I'll share some photos of my finds soon.

Working on building Lisa's little work shop today and tomorrow. Hoping to tie this whole thing together as quick as possible.

A few of the things I've rummaged from the machine shop. Excited to get going with it!

Moving along moving along!!! Painted her little face. I'll finish her eyes when I have the whole scene set. That way I can really make sure she is looking at what I want her to be looking at.

This is her "finished look" right before I go in and.... destroy her

So to make the illustration work, I know that I have to essentially mess my puppet up. With charcoal, and scissors. I will be attacking my adorable little puppet.
