I’ve had my iPad Pro and pencil for 3 years now. The cap on my pencil falls apart, but I’m sure they are cheap to replace. I have two boys (9 and 3 years old), a crazy lab, and concrete floors. I have had no issues. I don’t use a protective case. Just the Smart Keyboard. The kids know they are not supposed to touch it, but my toddler still tries when I’m not looking. My main concern has always been snapping the pencil off while it’s charging, but it has never broken.

I’m a new user and was wondering if there’s a way to sort the curriculum by teacher? Would like that option in the Filter drop down menu some day. Might be a nice update. Unless I’m just missing something, but like I said...new user. Thanks.

I haven't got very far with meeting my character so far Feleri, because I've been trying to heal, but you know what, healing is proving so hard … maybe I'll try and have some fun with my character tonight instead, might work 🙂

@carriecopa @riftweaver I love Clip Studio Paint! I've been using it for my drawing-a-day challenge this month, and I love how the pencil tool feels and looks like actual pencils. It's my new favorite art app.

I've tried Procreate on my little iPad mini. Maybe one day I'll be a big kid and I can have an iPad Pro. 🙂

@eli I bought Ink for my printer. Let’s see if that is cheaper. Ha! I certainly think so!

Hey @Will-Terry , I know one of the BYU players from the game you mentioned in your YouTube video. At church Sunday I went up to Bro Tui, Pete Tuipulotu, and asked if he played in the BYU Miami game. He lit up and said “yeah.” I then clarified that there is only one game that it could be referring to, right. (We are from the south i don’t keep up with BYU football, although my husband knew the game immediately). He confirmed. He said that the quarter back won the hiseman (I don’t know how to spell that) trophy because of that game.

Anyways, I shared the video with his wife. Pretty cool, right! The Tui’s are the best family ever. Sis Tui played basketball for the Y. Their family is the coolest family ever! Hank is red shirted this year for the Y. Ben is on his mission in Chile and has already signed for the Y. Sami, their only daughter, is in Provo at the MTC. She’s going to Tonga! Awesome right! She will play lacrosse for the Y. And Pete is still at home playing high school football. So, they have the height from there mom. They are super human athletes, but seriously the coolest family! Anyways, small world.

Thanks for the reply! I guess I'm lookin for general advice on securing online commissions. I know art fairs and cons are great, but I live in Alaska so those are few and far between haha

That's great advice though. I think next time, I will say, "Only a couple of commission spots left!" Or, "I only have 5 commission spots available. First come, first serve."

But yeah, there were plenty of people just commenting supportive stuff. But probably 5 or 6 people actually said they would pay to have their kids drawn. So when I followed up, they of course, didn't respond. I absolutely didn't want to seem pushy or salesman-like. I honestly thought if I simply told them, "I am available, feel free to message me", then they would message me. However, I'm now realizing I should have directly messaged them and been a bit more of a salesman when attempting to secure a commission.

Keep the advice coming! I haven't found much talk about stuff like this for smaller freelancers.

I needed a rest after Inktober 🙂

I loved every second of it though … so that was a strange feeling. I learnt so much. I've never used traditional ink before, so it was really fascinating seeing how that behaves but the main thing I learnt was, I ADORE drawing my own character.

Inktober was the first time I drew her over a long period of time, and I've never so much fun before 🙂

The only thing I've kept doing daily since Inktober is Gesture Drawing with QuickPoses … I love gesture drawing, but I want to start improving my character drawing skills now 🙂

Thanks everyone. It is good to know that some of you feel that there is "still plenty of work out there". I've known I needed to change reps for a while now but do not want to go after one with the same old portfolio. It's time for me to get busy.

@kaitlinmakes it makes me so mad that there are people who think it’s okay to do something like that. To that man, that was his art. Such a violation. I’m glad people encouraged him to keep going. That Star Wars stuff was AMAZING!

Wow thanks for the great advice and sympathy/commiseration, everyone. I will try the suggestions on for size and see what seems to fit. I'll let you know soon. I want to get the show on the road. Maybe "Jenny Jones ...something or other" will up and running by the weekend. Thanks again!!
