@Heather-Boyd I value any critique I receive, as it can only improve my work. Thanks for giving such thorough insight for me to better develop my piece! I will play around with the placement of the child for sure, as I agree the middle ground is cluttering the composition.

Thanks again for the wonderful critique, and yes, I am on Instagram! My handle is @blaynefox.art

@Samu No problem, everyone's got their own taste. πŸ™‚ I have seen The End of Evangelion but I have not seen the new movies. Did you know that we still have video rental stores here in Japan? Those movies are always out of stock. Eventually I'll get my chance to see them!

Also, I just made a portfolio website. Thanks to all who replied to this thread. πŸ™‚

I pushed back the artist into the yellow tones of the bathroom and added some highlighted stray hairs to the dust bunnies, it makes them less perfectly blurred/round. Hope you guys like these changes!

I think the style matches and the composition is good. You are using light well to put the focus on your characters. One thing I'd redo is the edge of the roof which is bulging. Very nice colors!

So its been a long time since I posted in this thread, but I am happy to say I finally completed this one. I am really struggling to find my "style" but for some reason I keep going back to this. As much as I try different styles and or techniques this is the one I keep coming back to. It feels most natural to me. Anyway, here is it. How many cartoon/movie references can you find?

That must have been fun & exciting to see your favorite band in concert! I hope you have more good times coming this year.

I really like the splatter texture!

Ah! Cute. πŸ™‚ Well, except the experience of braces. My sister had them and hated them. But, teeth need to be straight right? heh. πŸ™‚

That's Photoshop? I'm more and more amazed at how real-medium-like Photoshop is able to create in images. I thought it was something like Krita, or Sketchbook.

      Nice!

This weeks prompt Red Medusa. I used this prompt to work on one of my characters for a project I have been slowing working on for the longest time.
