Thanks for keeping this going every month! I havenβt been a regular participant in the forums or the contest in a long time but posting here keeps me motivated to keep working and (when I find time) participate more. This little guy is the latest of my flash card project.

I am combining my January contest entry with a postcard mailer that i promised myself that I would get done this month. I narrowed down my thumbnails this morning and did a value and color sketch. Time to art this baby! .. and then mail it before I get cold feet.

A new hot pot place opened in our town, and I wanted to draw it.
Working on a scene where kids of all nationality try out Chinese hot pot!

Also I'm working on a scene where little ballerinas are practicing, but a wacko kid and a possum ballerina doesn't follow instructions. Just having fun with this image!

Finally, I wanted to do illustration for the children's classic story, The Happy Prince.
I tried to capture the golden, beautiful prince statue tenderly smiling to his dear friend, swallow. Hopefully, I can finish all of them to the level of my liking!

@Suji-Park Thanx! Im going to enter the svs January contest so i will post it there.

Working on pages for a concept book. Finished this rough color today. -
I'm putting together the last of four "seasonal" riffs that I apparently fell into after doing two tangentially thematic one offs for fun. I was trying out Max Ulichney's new watercolor brushes and just sorta kept going... hehe... I dunno what they could possibly be used for, but I'm really enjoying myself.
