      I get a definite sense of movement from out mice and I like the firecracker rocket comin' right out of frame 🙂 If you have the mice on a separate layer from the background, you might play around with some more graphic explosions (think cartoons?) in the background.

        I love it. Looks awesome. There’s a lot of warm tones that are intense, possibly cool things down or subdue the curving orange line slightly? It does compete with the mice but only a little. Maybe toy with taking the curvy line out past the border and back in? It might not work but it seems pretty centralized right now.
        The mice are freaking awesome as per usual!

          @Braden-Hallett not sure what you mean with the explosions. Can you draw one?

            Mr. Watterson does an excellent job 🙂 Super bright at the centre with bits of shrapnel/rapidly expanding smoke. It'll give your mice a more natural bright background instead of a faded dark one, if you get what I mean. Also lots more potential for energetic brushwork 😃

              @Braden-Hallett yeah that was what I going for ish. I did reference actual firework explosions, too and they more or less look like what I have. I will play around with them some more.

                  I think this has a lot of energy but I’m not sure where the mice are in space because the background could be far below them or close up. I’m thinking you could go way darker on parts of the background, just to separate the mice and the chaos a little from the environment.

                    @burvantill Okay. That's the sort of feedback I needed. @Melanie-Ortins is right in that I have a lot of midtones, so maybe darker is an answer. I will pay around a bit.

                      @chrisaakins I did a little horrible draw over for myself to see if my advice was relevant. You may have to lighten or brighten the Rocket after you darken the background.
                      If you want to se the draw over I’ll show you but it really is horrible. Lol.

                      I also meant to give you a link to my “Wee Moosey” Pinterest board a while back. It’s all things cute rodent. JIC you needed more mouse inspiration in the future. 😬

                        @Melanie-Ortins @Braden-Hallett @burvantill I decided to take a little bit of
                        all your advice and tweaked things a little bit more. I think I like it now a lot better. I think I am done unless you see anything else that looks unprofessional. I have a major paper due soon and lots of family things going on so I think that I have to be done as much as I love working on this.
