@Braden-Hallett and @Katie-Kordesh, my comfort piece was doing a master copy of a photo of a tee shirt I took at Hot Topic.
The sales person looked at me funny because I took a photo of the shirt!
The funny thing is I have no clue who or what these characters are from, which obviously shows my age and cluelessness of current trends! I just found the image fascinating.

Last night I had an hour all to myself and started sketching this master study of Ladybug Girl. So fascinating breaking down these master copies to understand what the artist were thinking.
Here’s my rough sketch. I’ll share the finished copy in my Book Cover copy post once completed.

Forgive me, I’m 40 and grew up watching The Simpson’s, Heman and all the other 80’s cartoons!
My daughter only watches Peppa Pig style shows and movies, so I’m definitely out of touch...

Don't worry. Invader Zim was very much a cultish flash in the pan. If you're REALLY curious about the show see if you can find 'Dark Harvest' (just as dark as it sounds) or the halloween special. I think they're mostly on youtube these days

More old webcomic doodles. For a long time I've tried to stay away from multiply layers (they always looked wrong) But I think I've developed my colour and value sense to the point where I can use them again.

@SunnySommerset he's a spiny tailed monitor lizard. He was lovely and kept wandering over to see what we were doing

I’m working on one of the vehicle design assignments where you have to draw four vehicles for a cartoon character, and I decided to use my all-time favorite cartoon character, Wile E. Coyote. But then I couldn’t draw the vehicles without having drawn him first. It’s been along time since I’ve drawn anything just for fun that didn’t work for my goal of being a children’s book illustrator, it was nice.
