Relaxation sketches.
-
Hello! Iβve been messing around with brushes and color palettes the last few days. Itβs been really fun. Iβm enjoying just making stuff. I often feel like I can make things for me, but as soon as there is an audience in mind I freeze up- so Iβm trying to figure out some processes to keep it lighthearted and yet challenging- like a puzzle
-
Not much time to do anything art wise lately so I sketched a jerboa in Procreate while watching TV. Why a jerboa? Why not a jerboa? I mean, look at how cute these guys are.
-
Few tweaks. Callin' it done

-
I recently completed my recreation of the digital painting Will Terry demoed to us in his 3 Day Event a few weeks ago. It was a great learning experiencr to complete this. I feel I now have a process to follow that I feel comfortable with.
-
I just finished a job so I can focus on my vehicle design final now. This is a melding of different makes and models of old trucks and cars. It has been abandoned for decades and will be covered in moss and rust and will be a playground to RABBITS!WIP
-
@burvantill eeek looking forward to the bunnies! This is a great start on your vehicle!
-
@Coley Thanx! Itβs weird, Iβve drawn a couple actual cars in the past (boyfriends dreams
) and it was quite nerve wracking. Trying to get all the lines and proportions right, but when you make up a car itβs fun!
When i show my husband, a car guy, heβs going to be so confused trying to figure out what make it is
-
@burvantill lol
-
@Braden-Hallett im taking a page out of your book on your approach to starting with heavier lines when inking. Great piece
-
Drawing unicorns for my very first baby board book. This is just the start, no shade or shadow or texture.
-
@Judy-Elizabeth-Wilson sooooo super. Cute! If I had a baby in my life I would love to buy a board book with illustrations like this!
-
Hello everybody! This is my first time participating in the virtual studio. It's always inspiring and encouraging to see what everyone is working on! I took a one-week portrait challenge class and this was the result. It's not perfect, but at least it's finished! Lol. Thank you for stopping by!
-
Continuing to make my mandalas in effort to alleviate stress.
-
2nd piece I did with the brushes I've been building in Photoshop. I'm really liking how these are feeling so far after some tweaks after the initial one. I also really tried to stay within a confined color scheme on this one versus just go off and color things what I wanted. Please feel free to critique if I can make any positive adjustments!
-
@jdubz I love that little ghost! Color harmony looks good to me. P.s. I loved your March contest piece, so fun and loved the comp!
-
@Coley Thanks so much! And thanks for the comment on the color harmony. Really helps confirm I'm going in the right direction on coloring process. I'm starting to feel like I'm actually doing things on purpose instead of accidentally ending up where I wanted it
-
@jdubz I feel like that is starting to happen for me too, slowly but itβs a good feeling
-
@jdubz really like it. I just watched the end of Brave with the wisps. Yours is soft and wispy and has a nice balance with the more rugged texture of the tree.
-
@Heather-Boyd Thanks! That was the first thing that came to mind when I was thinking "man, I want to do something with spring in it" so it definitely was the underlying idea
