What if the horse gets into the sugar and gets hyper? He could still eat the flowers and throw the girl off.

@deborah-Haagenson fun idea! Will let that percolate at the back of my brain until I start drawing later today. Thanks 🙂

I'm also trying to figure out if the horse bot should be built from stuff that Lisa found around the house , eg right now it's bum is a metal colander from the kitchen. Or if it should be more polished and from a robot kit. Any thoughts on that appreciated.

@Coley I like the colander. I would say go with bits from around the house. 🙂

@Coley oooo love the apple one! So much movement! I wonder have you tried playing with the angle a bit? What if the viewer was behind the apple, and the horse was lunging up at "us" - and the girl was falling behind. - Then we could see the little girls face of shock, and the horse's face of joy.

@EliaMurrayArt awesome thought, thanks! I might give that a go in a sketch. I’m liking the apple one the best too. I like the swoopy circular composition so I want to keep that. 3/4 view might work 😊

Hi @Coley, I like A! So original! May I suggest the horse looking at the camera with huge smile and dentures? How about adding some grandma reading glasses too?

@Jeremy-Ross thanks 😊. I’ve moved on from that idea at this point but I thought that idea was fun 😁 will do it sometime in the future !

Final or close to final sketch. Will look at it with hopefully fresh eyes in the morning. I might need to change the back legs to look more like they’ve just pushed off the ground. Luckily all the years I spent in school drawing horses and not doing my schoolwork is helping me lol!

If anyone sees anything majorly wrong, if you happen to not be tired of me posting soooo many times lol, let me know. I’m a bit tired of looking at it 😆 will take a break and fiddle with it after a day or two.

I’m wondering if the lines to indicate motion are working or if anyone has a better idea.

                          😊

@Coley this is looking great! I'm thinking you might want to bring some more branches/leaves into the mix. The lone twig with an apple seems a bit sparse to me. Perhaps look at some apple trees and add a whole one in to give more of an environment. You've still got time!

This is great! I don't know if you need the motion lines -- your characters convey the motion well to me.
