      I had another go tweaking this technique I found out about using normal maps and wrote up another article about it here if anyone wants to read something mildly geeky ☺ (ok it's pretty full on geeky sorry).

        Renders using Blender. I think I'm done with this now. Like I said before, if anyone else is interested in this technique for lighting flat 2d art with 3d shaders or normal maps in Photoshop I wrote about it on my blog. I'll get on with other art to do with my personal project now.
