Yes, everything was slightly squeezed, which I noticed when I mirrored her. I gave more space to the ear in the bottom drawing already. It was based on a really fast sketch.
Warmer skin tone in dark areas - this is interesting to me, because I used to choose a colder tone for shaded areas as this was what I learned to see. (reflection of blue sky light). I will experiment with that. Making the eyes pop = 👌

Renders using Blender. I think I'm done with this now. Like I said before, if anyone else is interested in this technique for lighting flat 2d art with 3d shaders or normal maps in Photoshop I wrote about it on my blog. I'll get on with other art to do with my personal project now.

You've already had some great suggestions, but for me the number 1 thing I'd do is flip the image! The action is from right to left which feels very unnatural and against the flow. The eye is used to reading an image from left to right, and so the action should flow in that direction as well 🙂
P.S I really like the little plants cut out of the bottom edge, very effective and creative!

I have two guinea pigs myself, glad to see them get a little attention! They are so cute when they're eating, which is pretty much all the time. Great expression.

I've just finished this Logan painting, it turned out better than I expected so I'm really happy with the result. I hope to post more stuff really soon, it's my first time actually sharing it.
