Our SVS Virtual Studio JUNE π 2019

@Daria-Khil It's a truly engaging piece to look at. I enjoy your use of warm and cool colors to push things back and pull things forward. Welcome btw! I'm kinda new here too.
-
The daily challenge on our arts discord is cars and trucks. Tryin' to keep exercisin' those basic design skills
-
@Braden-Hallett Outstanding stuff! I'm a big fan of all the work that I've seen of yours. Not going to lie, it's super intimidating, but inspirational just the same. I dig seeing your process as well.
-
@Marc-Noreikas That's really high praise! Thanks
The work on your website looks pretty awesome to me. You should post it on the forums!
-
-
Just a simple girl walking her dog. Now on to Godzilla.... thatβs a real change of pace...
-
@Marc-Noreikas thank you! I'm glad you like it

I am trying to understand texture brushes better (using Procreate) and was doodling a character to play around with and this came out. I realized after I was done, however, that another thing I need to work on is understanding shadow shapes better. My shadows are always just generalized blobs.
-
Tricycles of the future are awesome.
-
I want to put this dino into some grass but he's hiding in plain sight for the moment. lols I was practising block building structure and then some shading and shadows. He was from my head so I am quite happy.
-
@Heather-Boyd some great form on the dino
I dusted clip studio off the for the first time in a few months. Trying to get away from the digital look. Digital takes longer than I thought...
I'm calling it Day of the Cactus
-
@Braden-Hallett I appreciate you taking a look at my site. I've taken a hiatus for a while, so I'm just now getting back in the game. I'll become more of a participant soon. Thanks for the nudge!

Okay you guys!! A few months ago I shared some concept art with you about the possibility of painting a street piano. I submitted two concepts and both were chosen!! I was able to paint one on my own, (the unicorn) and the other I taught a group young artist about the piano painting process (All through a local art group that focuses on offering free art classes for kids in the area. We had a group of about 4 students come and help with the monster piano.)
Anyway I've been busy the last few months working on these and wanted to share with you the final outcome.
-
@artwithashley these turned out great! Too fun!
-
These are fantastic!
-
I'm done with this one an moving on. I am happy with the second one. I know there is not that much of a difference, but I like it more.
Time to do the next page. This one is going into my portfolio.
Version 2

W're doin' daily exercises on the 'discord for the arts'. I can't remember where I got this challenge from (some group on deviantart that's been expunged) but it strikes me as something that'd be common in animation and design courses.
And thank you to whoever of the svs crew coined the phrase 'flirt with the reference, don't marry it :smiling_face_with_open_mouth_smiling_eyes:
I'm a fan of the dragon. It very much knows it's a dragon.
-
Working on it also with Braden...but doing Shape-Birds
-
Here's my daily from the Discord too. (If anyone wants an invite just let me know)
-
Same here when I was working on environment silhouettes I did birds so yesterday I went back and did some quick values and add some colour.
Bird characters rock!
