2019:
@Braden-Hallett These are giving me life. The last one in particular has so much good energy and tension in the posing of the mouse, reinforced with the thicks-to-thins on the ink work. Elegant and fun all at the same time!
Thank you
I'm really enjoying drawing these mice!

@Braden-Hallett I love those big animal pictures! Would be nice to see a story with them.
This is what kept me busy the last couple of days:
The map for a fantasy novel I've written together with a friend a long time ago. We want to publish it finally.
Next will be the cover. -
I think this is the first year since Highschool I've been able to hammer out a remembrance day piece.
-
I'm working on some pencilwork pieces and sketches this month. This is one I just finished. I'm trying to do at least 5 in a variety of buildings, organic, etc
-
Kitbash spaceship I made. I'm working on making a little scifi 'scene' with my sculptures.
-
Stupid human. There's snow outside. Snow means stay in burrow. Stupid human.
-
Had time, so finished it

@Braden-Hallett
This is great!!

@burvantill Mice are so much fun to draw
-
Wanted a break from anatomy and gestures.
-
Works been busy but we are doing baby stuff and that's always fun.

@Braden-Hallett Love this!
-
@Anni Thanks
I'm really gettin' a lot of material out of these ranch scenes.
-
Finished my riff on βThree Washer Womenβ by LΓ©on Augustin Lhermitte. I did it in traditional watercolor and brought it back into Procreate to tweak. Next, the Mona Lisa! (Just kidding.)
-
@LauraA This is so cute! I love the style. It reminds me of Robert Childress, one of my favorites. What media did you use?
-
@Anni Thank you! I had to look up Robert Childress, and I found out that he was the artist who illustrated the Dick and Jane readers. I learned to read with those! (And Dr. Seuss)
The illustration I posted is all digital (Kyle brushes, textured paper I bought online, and some scanned origami paper), and now, looking at it, I'd shape it up a bit. But the point was to finish something without taking forever, so there you go!
-
I'm still plugging away on my inktober project. Next year I am definitely going to plan for it better, lol.

@burvantill when you do these are you muscle memory for those arms or some reference help, curious?
