Been a while since I've drawn digitally (or posted here).
I'm going to try and get back into drawing as I have a goal of putting together a book dummy this summer. I drew this Neverending Story fanart today. God I'm rusty, can't remember how to do certain things or which brushes I used for what. I like the image I ended up with, though

Trying that#toonme challenge with my dog. He WOULD have to be every color under the sun
I'm transitioning out of realistic type work but the urge to work stuff till it looks real, is... Well, real! I exaggerated his ears, nose, upper lip and some colors and linework so hopefully he looks a bit cartoony. I might not be finished yet. Gotta snowblow right now tho

This month ive been doing style studies and attended some will weston drawing classes and he gave me some good advice on studying style and art.
Here are the latest character designs i made thanks to the time spent practicing. While the designs are getting better Iām still really struggling with expression, both facial and body language. I am going to work on that through February.

I've had a lot of folks I care about losing their fur babies lately. I always feel sad when I'm painting pieces like this knowing how loved and missed they are, but I am honored that I've been given the opportunity to create something that can bring a recaptured fondness to counterbalance the loss being felt. I hope I did his memory justice.
