      @MichaelaH

      Looks like a good study and thanks for posting on here -I see back that I did week 5 but I might do a more children book friendly one when I get back. And I will be excited to see yours!

      @Heather-Boyd I think you are selling yourself short, your line work looks really solid, and it brings so much character and tone to the structures you are drawing. I am working on my subjective right now and I have the opposite problem, my line work is too stiff and really lacks character. I have actually redrawn almost all my line work while rendering, and it looks so much better when I loosen up. I looked at yours last night and thought - that is what I need to be doing! I think it all comes together eventually though, there is just so much to think about from line and shape to colour and style, it’s hard to get it all at once. After my subjective is finished, I have decided to focus on smaller pieces for awhile so I can start to focus on building these individual skills. It’s really helping me to see everyone’s posts and progress, so thanks for sharing!

      @Amber-Lynn-Benton I think your second attempt is much better-reads clearer. It's so good to see how others approach each of these assignments. I'm taking "Dynamic Expression" (interactive class) and David Hohn (instructor) always says "well, the assignment is really clear in MY head." We do our best to understand!

      @demotlj Furniture really shouldn't be hard to draw, but I have a difficult time with it, too 🙂 ESPECIALLY if someone's interacting with it (sitting and such).

      And you're welcome 😃 I wouldn't have done the work without everyone else working along, too!

      It was actually learning about the different types of shadows and when and how to put them in. Every step was eye opening though. I wished I'd taken it earlier. Super great class.

      @burvantill Great job! You really managed to capture the linework and the values. I need to copy this exercise and the dream portfolio exercise.
