      I didn't really have the time to do all the homework on this course but seeing as I was starting from pretty much zero inking experience I learned a lot lol. I think I had thought of inking as more of a line thing. But I learned how to do gradients and that was pretty cool πŸ™‚ Also how to do different textures. Also how the shape of a line can change the shape on the interior of the object, eg if I draw a cube but I make wavy lines inside of it, the cube looks skewed or wavy.......kinda blew my mind lol.
      I like the idea of inking something from the drawing pack and posting online and tagging Jake, I might do that. I had done tacobot as practice but think I put it with recycling a few days ago when I was clearing up stuff rats! maybe it's still there!

      @Paula-Morgan Looking at your work you don’t look lost to me. You definitely have a unique style which is HUGE. The one thing I notice is that there is less story telling in your work than your dream portfolio. I think adding some minimal background or accessories to suggest more of a narrative to your pieces would help it feel less sparse. Keep it up!

      @Heather-Boyd I am definitely all over the place with my tastes. It makes it challenging when people ask "what's your favourite.......?" because I can't find an answer, it'll be different in a week or a month or a year. The movement thing is probably my inner animator πŸ˜‰

      Can't really say I'm interested in a specific type of illustration (if you're meaning editorial/children's book/etc). I gravitate to what is visually appealing across any genre or platform. Certainly things that involve character and narrative, so I suppose the aforementioned would be the most fitting.

      @aprilshin

      Several of us finished up CED course, well some of us are still working on it (I include myself of course) if your interested in viewing and adding your work to the already created threads @Braden-Hallett created for us.

      As to your lines, they remind me a bit like my own. I am very loose -good for sketches not necessarily for finished drawings that have solid strong lines. Well that's partly true -my lines are stronger in traditional formats vs. digital (tablet doesn't feel like paper).

      *Muscle memory with lots of practise and ghosting (practise drawing above the paper with your whole arm and then put down your pencil and draw exactly it on the paper).

      I would also recommend drawing different lengths as well as straight and curves. Not every shape is one continuous line.

      πŸ™‚ keep going πŸ™‚

      @NessIllustration Thank you so much for pointing that out, I did not even notice the shape/style consistency! I wondered what connected certain pieces and that is exactly what it is. That really demystifies things for me.

      @Coreyartus Thank you for being so descriptive with the colour themes! My husband was trying to point out a consistency in colour theme but was only able to describe it in terms of the feeling the colours created in each composition. I knew what he meant, but I was struggling to figure out specifically what was causing that. I saw that you posted your Dream Porfolio as well, this is very new to me, but I hope I will be able to offer you some helpful feedback too!
