@Morten-Christiansen Ah yeah, good point... I'm wondering if because I'm using mostly markers (not-so-fine nib/chisel tip) it might force me to keep the details at a minimum as I keep going... I'll keep it in mind though, thank you for the heads up re: your experience 🙂

@Melissa-Bailey-0 Thank you so much for the help! Such good feedback and gives me lots to think about! I was trying to build tension with the expression; like the elf is going to fight to protect but I don't think I have pushed that story enough in the sketch. I have some work to do 😉

I worry that the details of the drawing will get lost a bit. Just tried copying it into the competition template and it is just so small 😖 I think that the textured look might work against me at that scale.

@RachelArmington yeah I used the leaves, flowers and smoke brushes as well as stucco. I did have to draw a lot of leaves anyway but it was really fun to go crazy with those a bit

Even though I like the different levels of roof this was easier to connect to a story. So I'm thinking of an shaman who lives at the edge of the village and she serves food and offer a bed.
