On the procreate app, I like to use brushes like pencil, dry brush, chalk where it has a more traditional feel, but it also helps to use the same brush for everything in an art piece, like for both line work and coloring

I agree with @Nxndraw on changing the angle of Jack. I feel kinda silly because I thought he was missing a leg (and was looking for it in the griffin's claw) until I read through the comments. I am also echoing the others' praise for the expressions on the characters.

Hi SVS Friends, I’m happy to report my Picture Book Dummy is complete and I’ve started the Querying process! I’ve taken everything I’ve learned from SVS, including Children’s Book Pro, and The HTFYA Book, and released it in the wild!

I’ve written an article on my Substack about the waiting game if anyone is interested in reading or finds value in it.

      Thanks for the love!

@Mel-F It's looking great! I love the bats especially. šŸ˜ Good overlapping while keeping them dark-on-light.
I feel like the frog is a bit of an odd-one-out: he looks a bit more realistic than all the other animals.
I'm looking forward to seeing more of this book!

Hey y'all, i made another piece applying what i learned from my troll hill study and i wanted to share it here.

      IMG_3644.jpeg

      IMG_3646.jpeg

Putting it next to the study helps me see just how desaturated i was working in sthe study, even though i was already outside of my comfort zone trying to work light and bright šŸ˜‚ crazy how that goes.

@tom-barrett Thank you for your feedback!
I actually really tried to watch for tangents (after watching the last htfya) but somehow I got lost in the painting process šŸ˜†

I edited a bit and tried to blend the door more with the room using darker shadows.

The idea with the moon I really like! The next time I am going to think a bit more about what to use.

      Thanks again!

Hi @allysa , feel free to share my threadless link for my apparel designs for an example of my shirt designs, especially the animal ones.

See bottom illustration for more realistic piece I did for a beautiful Guinea Pig who passed away this year.

Feel free to share my portfolio for other ideas.

      Thanks for the opportunity!

@R-Fey-Realme Thank you! That sounds great! I had planned to type it up (on an old typewriter) then cut it out untidily and stick it in, but forgot to do that earlier on in the process. But your idea sounds way better anyway! šŸ˜„

@makekong I just uploaded the updated version of the book with the contrast filter removed. šŸ™‚ I'm not sure if Amazon sent it out yet, but feel free to let me know if Amazon gives you any notification alert on that.

I also updated the review request page. Looks like it was confusing some people when I put it in the middle. So I put it at the end instead. šŸ™‚
