NEED ART FOR SVS YOUTUBE CRITS!

This one was from my very first prompt I did for SVS "Dragonfly"

@Lee-White Here is one that I did of the poem “The Owl and the Pussy Cat”.
When I made it I was satisfied and thought it would be a good portfolio piece. But now it seems like something is off. Help?
-
Here is a piece I did using a collage technique. I drew some, photographed some physical items and imported them, and also used some digital layering tricks. My take on the three little pigs.
Thanks for offering the opportunity for scrutiny. I love the style of artists like Melissa Sweet and Emily Gravitt with their collage looking pieces. I am trying to get a similar look to my work.

@JennyJones I really like this. Nice job with the collage. The expressions on the pigs are great.

@von_Nimmermehr This is so wonderful! Concept with ocean waves in the tree. Wow wow! I like how you think.

@Kim-Rosenlof , thanks. It was a new way to do things for me. It was a first and it took forever. But I learned a lot. Next time will be a little bit quicker…I hope.

@Heather-Boyd Thank you so much

@Lee-White

would love a critique

@Lee-White
I am planning on redrawing this piece since it is nearly a year old. I would love to get a critique on it before I recreate it. -
@Lee-White @Jake-Parker @Will-Terry
I'd love to get your feedback on this one that I did earlier in the year! I was really happy with the concept and rendering but feel that the storytelling, and lighting could have been improved. I believe this was for the tiger prompt. -

We are doing a new episode of How to fix Your Art today so I wanted to bump this thread up! Keep submitting as we are going through all of these to find the ones to use for each episode. : )

I’ve been struggling with this one!

I would love some advice on how to control the texture to draw the eye in without characters looking to clean in contrast. Or any advice really

@Lee-White @Jake-Parker I was happy to see Jake critique one of my illustrations in the #4 video on characters. I loved the info and found it very useful. Thanks guys!
